She did it!
Emerson went "pee-pee" on the potty! I'm not sure if she understood what she was doing, but I don't care...she did it! I think we'll just keep exploring the idea and let her sit/play with the potty for awhile until we really start trying. Another proud moment.

Worst Blogger!
I was talking to my friend today and she said I was the worst blogger in the history of blogging and I definitely agree with her. I don't know why but I haven't been motivated to sit down and write. So I am sorry for all of you that have been checking the last month and have been annoyed that I still haven't updated out blog.
Part of the problem is that I don't know where to start....
We went to Virginia a couple of weeks ago for my cousin Stefanie's wedding. I was a bridesmaid and emerson was the flower girl. It was a bit exhausting running around everyday, but the wedding was really nice. Emerson rode in a wagon down the aisle and did great! Nick and i kept thinking that she was going to stand up/fall out, but she was really brave. I know it's silly, but seeing her come down the aisle made me cry...she looked so beautiful and did so well (just a very proud moment). I have to apologize because I don't have any pictures of her yet, but will post them as soon as I do.
The rest of the month has been pretty good. The weather has been a little cooler so the park has been more enjoyable. We went to the zoo two weekends ago and emerson rode a horse. She loved it! We broke down and bought her a chair, which might have been are best purchase yet. She sits in her chair most of the time reading or playing with her baby or just climbing in and out. Another thing that we purchased was a potty. She is very interested, so we thought we would get her one and a book. She sits on it about 4 times a day and we read about the potty. No action yet, but I don't want to pressure her to do it. She is very much the child that does things when she is ready...so we will wait for her lead. She is starting to put three works together and really doesn't stop talking unless she is sleeping.
We see our friends 3 or 4 times a week and they are actually starting to play together. I am so thankful for all my friends here! We are looking forward to september because we are going to do are singing/music class again and we are also going to do gymnastics. We went today for a little play time and she loved it. She was climbing on everything, jumping on the trampoline, hanging from the bar, walking on the balance beam, and just running wild. It's going to be a fun fall and I promise to never let it go this long again! Hope everyone is doing well.
