Christmas 2009

We had a very merry christmas this year! We spent christmas at home and it was a very fun and exciting day! Emerson was beyond excited christmas morning. She had been asking if it was christmas ever since we put up the decorations so when the day finally came she didn't know what to do with herself. We had an "elf on the shelf" come to our house every morning in a new spot and watch emerson and carter and then when everyone was asleep the elf would fly back to the north pole to tell santa all about our day and most importantly tell santa what everyone wanted for christmas. It was very fun to watch emerson look for the elf every morning. She would always ask, "elf, how was your night? was there snow in the north pole? did you see santa?" There were way too many presents to open so after 30 minutes of opening she was done and wanting to play with the gifts she had already opened. Emerson asked for a mushroom house (little play house that looks like a mushroom), a snow white doll, an ursala (the mean witch from little mermaid...we have no idea why she likes her), and a sebastian (the crab from little mermaid) from santa this year. And carter "asked" for a little tikes car. Santa had very good listening ears this year which made emerson have the biggest smile on her face when she saw everything he brought. Nick's dad, pop, was here so he got to join in all the fun!
